Learn, exchange, grow, and serve. The U.S. Department of State offers many programs for non-U.S. citizens wishing to come to the U.S. for cultural, educational, or professional exchange. These programs are augmented by local opportunities in countries around that world that allow non-U.S. citizens to explore U.S. culture and the English language.
The United States supports international education and welcomes foreign students and exchange visitors. Before applying for a visa, students and exchange visitors must be accepted by their schools or program sponsors.
American English is a resource center for teaching and learning about American English.
2023 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF)– Cameroon
AEIF provides alumni of U.S. government-sponsored and facilitated exchange programs with funding to expand on skills gained during their exchange experience to design and implement innovative solutions to global challenges facing their community.
The Fulbright Specialist Program provides a unique opportunity for institutions to host a leading U.S. academic or professional. Specialists and host institutions work together to implement a two- to six-week project. Host institutions design project goals and activities that will exchange knowledge and promote long-lasting collaboration between individuals and institutions in the United States and in Cameroon.
