On March 31, U.S. troops stationed in Garoua hosted Cameroonian officials for dinner to strengthen our partnership for security and stability in the region and extend appreciation for partnership programs with local communities.  U.S. Army Maj. D. Max Ferguson thanked Chief of Staff of the Cameroonian Army Regional Commander Brig. Gen. Ndjonkep Meyomhy Frederic, and Cameroonian Air Force Base 301 Commander Col. Barthelemy M. Tsilla for our security partnership.  Other distinguished guests included Governor of Garoua Jean Edi’i Abade, Mayor of Garoua Mohammadou Kaou, and American Corner Director Harouna Ahmadou Saliou Yerima. The U.S. is committed to support the Cameroonian people in their efforts to promote security for all citizens against Boko Haram so that they can build a future of peace and prosperity through their immense talents and ideas.
