U.S. Embassy Welcomes Human Rights Leader

On June 2, the U.S. Embassy in Yaounde welcomed Cameroonian human rights leader Ms. Alice Nkom and Mr. Yann Gwett.  They were met by Political and Economic Counselor David Brownstein, USAID representative Clinton Trout, and Political and Economic Assistant Jacques Kateu.

Mr. Brownstein said: “The United States is proud to partner with Alice Nkom, a human rights leader globally renowned for her dedication and commitment to advancing the human rights and dignity of every person.  We are pleased to strengthen our efforts with Alice Nkom and all Cameroonian citizens and institutions towards advancing our mutually shared goals of promoting human rights.”
