U.S. Military Members Visit Orphanage

U.S. military members visit children in Douala on September 10, 2016.On Saturday, September 10, U.S. military members visiting Cameroon for a two week maritime security course in partnership with the Cameroonian armed forces visited an orphanage Douala, where they offered books and other gifts to children.

Acting Defense Attaché Lieutenant Colonel Christine D. Watson noted: “We are proud that America’s sons and daughters serving our nation in uniform shared some special time with the children during their visit.  We thank our hosts at the orphanage for welcoming us. These children are the future of Cameroon, and every one of them is very special.  The maritime security course in which our troops participated in, and their visit with the children, exemplify the spirit that when we say “On est Ensemble,” America means it in words as in deeds.”  See Facebook album: https://www.facebook.com/yaounde.usembassy/photos/?tab=album&album_id=10157423261950716.
